Deuterium Gas Charging Experiments with Pd Powders for Excess Heat Evolution (i) Results of Absorption Experiments Using Pd Powders

چکیده
A twin system for hydrogen-isotope absorption experiments has been constructed to replicate the phenomenon of heat and He generation during D2 gas absorption in nano-sized Pd powders reported by Arata and Zhang, and to investigate the underlying physics. For PdZr oxide nano-powders, anomalously large energies of hydrogen isotope absorption, 2.4 0.2 eV/D-atom and 1.8 0.4 eV/H-atom, as well as large loading ratios of D/Pd =1.1 0.0 and H/Pd =1.1 0.3, respectively, were observed during deuteride/hydride formation. The sample charged with D2 also showed significantly positive output energy in the second phase after deuteride formation. Results for 0.1-mPd powder samples and Pd-black samples are also shown, for comparison.

Deuterium Gas Charging Experiments with Pd Powders for Excess Heat Evolution ( II ) Discussions on Experimental Results and Underlying Physics
Experimental results obtained for Pd/PdO/ZrO2 nano-composite samples are summarized and the underlying physics is discussed. Arata-Zhang’s May 2008 excess heat result was replicated quantitatively. Using Pd/PdO/ZrO2 powders (produced by Santoku Co., Kobe Japan), we obtained: 1) D-gas charge in the first phase (zero pressure interval) gave 20~90% excess heat than H-gas charge. 2) In the second p...

In electrochemical loading of Pd with deuterium, it has been known that attaining a D/Pd value larger than 0.88 is necessary for triggering excess heat effects [1]. It has been reported by Arata and Zhang that the heat arising from D-D nuclear fusion reaction in solid is observed simply by pressurizing nano-Pd/ZrO2 system with deuterium gas [2]. It seems that nano-scale Pd particles absorb more...
متن کاملEXCESS HEAT REPRODUCIBILITY AND EVIDENCE OF ANOMALOUS ELEMENTS AFTER ELECTROLYSIS IN Pd|D2O+H2SO4 ELECTROLYTIC CELLS
Electrolyte temperature is a key factor in excess heat production using Pd|D2O+H2SO4 electrolytic cells. Best results are obtained when the electrolyte temperature is close to the boiling point. Stable excess heat is generated by events on or near the Pd cathode surface. In addition to the stable excess heat, heat bursts are sometimes observed. These occurred most frequently in experiments usin...

T he fifth New Energy Technology Symposium was held at the 241st American Chemical Society (ACS) meeting at the Sheraton Park Resort in Anaheim, California on March 27 and 28. The organizer of the symposium, Dr. Jan Marwan of Dr. Marwan Chemie, was unable to chair the meeting due to personal reasons. However, the sessions of the symposium were co-chaired by Dr. Francis Tanzella of SRI Internati...

My first three experiments conducted at NHE using the Fleischmann-Pons (F-P) Dewar type cells investigated the Pd-Ce-B, Pd-B, and Pd-Ce alloy cathodes. Significant excess power was produced from the cells using the Pd-B and Pd-Ce alloy cathodes. The Pd-Ce-B alloy, in contrast, showed no measureable excess power effects. Previous experiments at China Lake using similar Pd-B alloy cathodes prepar...
